Ville Platte Medical Center

This project gave new life to an outdated community hospital located in rural Louisiana. The scope of work included 55,000 sq. ft. of new construction and 61,000 sq. ft. of renovation. Phasing of this project was critical in that renovation was tacking place simultaneously at the front door and back door of the facility. The two main additions of the project were the front Lobby & Canopy addition and the ER / ICU addition in the rear. 
The new Lobby & Canopy addition includes a Dietary Expansion, Admitting, Pharmacy & an Administration Suite. The new ER /ICU addition includes a 4 OR Surgery Expansion, I.C.U., E.R., 2 Trauma bays, Clinical Lab, Medical Records, Clinical Lab, and Central Energy Plant. The renovation portion of the project includes 75 Patient Room Upgrades, Imaging, Cardiac Diagnostics, Out-Patient Surgery and Obstetrics. 
My role on this project was Project Architect for the SAS team. I managed a team of architects, engineers, and designers through the full design and construction process.
