QMC Punchbowl Emergency Department Expansion & Renovation

The Queen’s Medical Center is undertaking an expansion of its existing Emergency Department into the current General Services Building at its Punchbowl Campus in Honolulu, Hawaii. The expansion will provide critical improvements to capacity, patient flow and clinical functionality within the Emergency Department, allowing QMC to better meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. By integrating the Emergency Department into portions of the existing General Services Building, the project creates a more efficient and modernized care environment while optimizing the use of existing campus infrastructure. The project will deliver much-needed upgrades that enhance operational efficiency, patient and staff safety and overall support services. Improvements will focus on modernizing clinical spaces, strengthening infrastructure systems, and enhancing resiliency to ensure the facility can effectively respond to future public health demands.
